Import & Export
Back up V4 Studio, or move it to another site, with one JSON file.
Export
1. Choose what to include
Choose All, or just Variables, Classes or Brand Data.
2. Download
Select Download Export.
3. Keep it safe
Store the file where you can find it before a reset or a big change.
Import
1. Choose the file
Select Choose JSON file and pick a V4 Studio export.
2. Choose what to bring in
Choose All, or just Variables, Classes or Brand Data, then select Import Selected.
3. Apply it
Nothing has changed yet. Select Apply now to update Elementor, Load into V4 Studio to review it first, or Discard.
An import adds and updates, and never removes anything.
If you chose Load into V4 Studio, select Import Variables or Import Classes on their tabs when you're ready.
What a file holds
Variables
Every variable, with its value.
Classes
Every class, with its styles.
Brand Data
Your details and links. Custom logos aren't in the file.
An export isn't a full WordPress backup: it doesn't include your pages or your media library.
Common questions
Does an import replace everything?
No. What's in the file is added or updated. Everything else stays as it is.
My logo didn't come across. Why?
Logos aren't in the file. Choose the image again in Brand Data and select Save Details.
Can I use an export as a backup?
Yes, of V4 Studio. Keep the file and import it to bring your setup back. It isn't a backup of your whole site.
